Have you been putting off your bathroom renovation for too long?
Now is a great time to get it done!
Getting started now means you can be into a new steam-shower and luxury bath during the chill months of winter. Steven Meltzer of Abbey’s Kitchens, Bathrooms and Interiors says, “This master bath renovation has always been one of my favorites – I could live in this room!”
And why not!… With plenty of storage and luxury, the focal point is the shower which has multiple body sprays, a rain showerhead, thermostatic valves, and seating for two to enjoy the steam function. Notice the glass window above the door, which can be swung open for showers but closed to hold in the steam. The private toilet room gets natural light through frosted glass.
The cabinetry is of bamboo wood, a renewable resource. It has a beautiful blonde grain to it. Did you notice the aluminum framed doors with reeded glass? The metal compliments the stainless hardware and accessories used throughout.
The countertops are something special too: 2-inch thick Quartz, not the standard ¾”. These were custom made for the vanity and the storage/seating area. Sills and trim on the shower and toilet doors are quartz also.
Meltzer’s artistic sense is highlighted by the use of tile. Matching mosaic squares, hex’s, and 8” plus 4” background tile sets off the plank floor tiles decorated with the same square mosaic tile strips. Steven accompanied the homeowners to the tile center where they worked out the details together.
